tempe town lake = mud puddle

tempe town lake draining on tuesday night

tempe town lake is closed, really?! i wanted to go play in the mud.

it’s too bad that the shoddy rubber dam holding a billion gallons of reclaimed water (known an tempe town lake) malfunctioned tuesday night and now sits as a large mud puddle for all to see. maybe a permanent dam would make more sense, or not. After all, this is phoenix (tempe) and we do sit in the sonoran desert. a lake in the desert makes as much sense as sand dunes in the artic tundra – they’re cool to look at but don’t make a lot of sense. now maybe some of these tempe visitors will end up in downtown phoenix, or not.

… and we’re back kids

yeah that’s right, we’re back up and running after a few rogue cyber criminals out of the eastern block decided to use our web server as a storage location for things that we really don’t understand. we felt helpless, just like you after visiting a miley cyrus topless site only to realize your computer had been infected with something that made your screen flicker, inundated you with popups selling you anti-virus software and rendered your computer utterly useless. regardless, the internet tubes are our playground and sick content is our swingset. get ready to play.
